Dallas Uses Second-Half Surge to Close Out Game
The Dallas Mavericks used a dominant second-half performance to defeat the Los Angeles Clippers 123-93 in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal series on Wednesday night.
Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 35 points, 10 assists, and 7 rebounds, while Kyrie Irving added 23 points. The Mavericks outscored the Clippers 65-33 in the second half, shooting 57.1% from the field while holding the Clippers to 36.8% shooting.
The Clippers were led by Kawhi Leonard's 25 points, but he was just 8-of-24 from the field. Paul George added 19 points, but he was also inefficient, shooting 7-of-21.
The Mavericks now have a 2-1 lead in the series and will host Game 4 on Friday night.
