WEB Mash star Wayne Rogers dies
Actor Wayne Rogers died on Thursday from complications from pneumonia, his rep. has confirmed.
The 82-year-old, who played US army surgeon Trapper John McIntyre in the cult 1970s TV series M*A*S*H, passed away in Los Angeles, his publicist Dick Guttman said.
In a statement obtained by Deadline, Guttman called Rogers "an extraordinary talented actor, writer, producer and director".
Rogers left M*A*S*H in 1975 after three seasons but later returned to play the role in the spin-off Trapper John, MD.
He is also known for his roles in films such as Cool Hand Luke and The Swarm.
